So it is extremely difficult to find the right cosmetics made from perfectly compatible components for your skin, but you need to select cosmetics to suit the form of your skin care to a certain degree.
The best way to select cosmetics is to read the ingredient label in order to find components that are compatible with your skin. We would like you to take a new look at both the usage and the actual cosmetics themselves that you are using at the moment with our brief explanation of skin-care preparation products below.

cleansing cosmetics

Cleansing cosmetics remove both makeup and greasy dirt, and each type of cleansing cosmetic has its own particular characteristic.
They are designed to remove oleaginous components so the more oil it contains, the more it removes.

Cleansing oil has the most powerful effect as it is capable of removing excessive oil from the skin, such as sebum which leads to dry skin.(You can avoid this problem with immediate care)
Cleansing cream that contains oil also has the same capabilities as Cleansing oil but there is less effective at removing more oil as it consists of a creamy consistency.

Cleansing gel and Cleansing water are water-soluble; cleansing gel contains some oily components. They are relatively mild to the skin, although they are sometimes not suitable for removing certain types of strong cosmetics.
When using cleansing cosmetics, you can massage them slightly to blend with your makeup, but over massaging might causes excessive oil removals or irritative inflammations. Please remember when using cleansing cosmetics, that they are for the removal of both old cosmetics and sebum, and not for the purpose of massage itself.

face soap

Face soap mainly removes water-soluble or greasy dirt, and each type of soap has its own particular characteristics.
There are two kinds of Bar Soap: The white soap is manufactured using a machine mixing method and the clear soap is manufactured by a frame kneading method.
The clear soap is more capable of containing effective components than the white soap.
The bar soap is strong against degradation.
The Creamy soap contains more oil components which give a moist feeling after cleansing.
The Whipped soap is capable of making soft, high density foam easily with little surface-active agents using a special container.
The most important consideration in face cleansing is that over massage does not occur. Too much finger-pressure or continuous massage may lead to loss of sebum because of the rubbing off skin ridges which may cause irritative inflammations.
Therefore, a good foam and gentle stimulation of the skin are good ways of face cleansing, though the type of face soap that lathers well often contains lots of surface-active agents, so please don’t underrate the importance of face cleansing. It is very important to select your face soap carefully to match your skin conditions.

essence

Essence is water-soluble skin-care preparation which is mainly used for the purpose of moisturizing and whitening. In most cases, the quantities of effective components or high molecules in the solution are increased to give a more moist feeling.
Components with a low molecular weight reach a basal layer, though the most effective components in the water-soluble skin-care preparation care for the surface of the skin.
One of the characteristics of the water-soluble skin-care preparation is that it gives a lighter feeling when used than the oleaginous skin-care preparation, because of this, when gel or cream is applied to the face prematurely, without waiting for complete dryness, it may result in the appearance of high molecular chunks.

cream

Cream is oleaginous skin-care preparation which is used for various purposes.
Oleaginous components agree very well with the skin, unlike water-soluble components, it reaches the inside of the outer layer of the skin through a barrier-zone.
It is also compatible with components for anti-blot, anti-wrinkle and moisture retention from inside the skin so this may be the simplest and easiest cosmetic that you will use and also you will feel how effective it is.
A person who has lots of intercellular lipid on the face / facial shine, will have difficulty with makeup application so using water-soluble skin-care preparation first, and then applying the cream, is a good way to use these cosmetics.
It is also possible for you to massage the skin when using these cosmetics, but a lot of moisture remaining on the face and too much finger-pressure may result in the appearance of high molecular lumps.

gel

To make gel, we neutralize high molecular weight protein with alkaline water. Gel is a water-soluble base, though there is slight viscosity to retain moisture on the skin without becoming sticky. Forming a film on the skin for moisture retention is a great characteristic of the gel, as it is likely to give a lighter feeling when used than cream.
Gel is less effective than cream, although it is possible to add oleaginous effective components combined with surface-active agents as reinforcements.
Gel has the same feature as cream, i.e. too much finger-pressure or over application may result in the appearance of high molecular lumps.

cosmetic oil

Cosmetic oil is used for the purpose of facial care.
To make cosmetic oil, we add oleaginous components and essential oils to basic oil.
It consists of oleaginous components, ie. effective oleaginous components can reach deep inside the skin. When using it with water-soluble cosmetics such as water lotion or liquid foundation, it is better to apply water- soluble cosmetics first, and then use cosmetic oil after the water- soluble cosmetics have dried completely. After the use of cosmetic oil, the application of cream is a suitable choice.

milky lotion

This takes the middle position of skin-care preparation, between water lotion and cosmetic oil.
Some people feel uncomfortable applying just the cosmetic oil itself to the skin, so adding some water creates a more milky lotion. This is consistent with the majority of oleaginous components, i.e. effective oleaginous components can reach deep inside the outer layer of the skin, and also contain moisture which gives a light feeling similar to a water lotion when used.

facial pack

There are two types of Facial pack:
One is for the effective permeation of components into the skin with moisturizing qualities; the other is for special treatments such as chemical peels and sedations with anti-inflammatory components. The basic usage of both types of pack is the same.
Facial pack cosmetics are filled in cream jars or tubes. There is another form of facial pack called “Sheet Mask” which consists of paper masks that are immersed in a box of facial pack cosmetic. In any forms, the purpose and effects are the same but Sheet Mask is reputed to be much easier to use than the other forms. A common instruction for the use of facial packs is that they are washed off after 10 minutes or 15 minutes, followed by the application of water lotion or liquid foundation for further care.

makeup base / uv cream

There are two major purposes of makeup base.
Firstly, it forms a base for makeup cosmetics and secondly it protects the skin from ultraviolet rays. For ultraviolet ray protection, there are ultraviolet absorbers or ultraviolet scattering agents which may damage or irritate the skin, so it is better to avoid putting it on the skin for a long period of time. Please make sure to remove it with cleansing cosmetics when it is not needed. SPF stands for “Sun Protection Factor,” and expresses numerically to what extent it protects the skin from ultraviolet rays. Currently, Japanese regulation permits manufactures to express the SPF level up to 50, but around 20 is the maximum protection level, so over 20 means it protects for a longer period of time. The Japanese have a tendency to have strong skin against ultraviolet rays so a high level of SPF does not necessarily mean that it is better for your skin all the time.
